I've read a lot of reviews for each bike but I would still like to know from somebody who owned both models. Is there a lot difference in ride comfort on longer distance? What about engine character, torque, suspension, sound? Has anyone tried both bikes on track?

I have only ridden a Daytona 600 for a day.

The bikes are very similar in frame, steering suspension and engine

The main differences as I understand are:
Speed Four has better mid range torque than Daytona 600
Daytona 650 has improved torque from the bigger capacity
Daytona 600/650 has more top end power.
All bikes have adjustable suspension for compression and rebound (Daytona 600/650 has slightly harder front suspension)
Daytona 600/650 has different Fuel Injection and ECU set up
Daytona 650 has linked gear lever
Nothing else on the road looks like a Speed Four
